Privacy Terms. Quick links. Kings Bounty - strategies and tips Post by Variol » Nov 7 , I'm fairly new to the game, so I thought I would ask what peoples favourite strategies are? Which of the 3 hero types do you like best? What units are best, depending on level? I know that the units are random though. I'm currently playing Orcs on the march.

The further you go opening new islands the more experience you'll get by doing "easy quests", this way you will raise your Leadership, so battles in early maps will become easier. Because of the treasure finding skill which lets me buy my army and my dragon is so fluffey!!! And because Reasons! Rivaire View Profile View Posts. Ultimately, it's up to your personal playstyle to determine what is the best colour to start with.

I personally picked Green. Besides Green being my favorite colour, Green maximizes the use of Treasure Hunter, which may be vital depending on your game difficulty. Easily green. Gold gain is basically a pity chest. Never underestimate getting abilities a level early. Originally posted by AnemoneMeer :. There is a medal for Amelie unlocked based on the number of chest you looted.

If your army loot all the chests digged out by Baby Dragon, you get this gold medal earlier which give you EXP bonus. If you get EXP bonus in early game, your hero will stronger than other play through. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 9 Sep, pm. Posts: Discussions Rules and Guidelines. Posted May 08, I just started the Armored Princess campaign with a Paladin on easy. I must be really bad because although I have won my last few battles, they are really close and I seem to lose a lot of my party during the battle I have almost no party members left and I am just about to go north from the University on the first level area.

I figured the beginning of the game would be really easy but it doesn't appear to be or I just really suck. I guess what I am asking is: Do you have any suggestions for general gameplay, tactics, allocation of power ups, magic use, or just general advice about "how to play this game effectively"?

Thanks in advance! No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply. Daynov Daynov Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. Get the skills that boost experience early. Focus on the might and mind tree and although I don't like resurrection since I'm usually playing no loss games, you should take it, it is great with a single powerful stack.

It would be good to skill up either Order or Distortion magic the 1st has buff spells and resurrection and the 2nd - traps, debuffs and phantoms, which are great with paladins for more resurrections. The Paladin actually has the middle leadership growth. Resurrection is useful for a tanking stack, although tanking with your actual units is generally a bad idea anyway unless you're using the Droid combo, the Black Knight Eviln combo.

A big thing that the Paladin has going for her is the static morale boosts. Also if you come across any early Call of the Colossus Wanderer's Scrolls, it's worth using, even if your leadership will only allow it to generate one unit it generates as many as your leadership can currently allow as LV5 units tend to be extremely reliable tanks that can also put out decent damage, especially during the early game. The absolute best early lvl 5 is the red dragon so aim for that. The troll is pretty good too.

The black dragon while the most powerful can't be healed. Just do quests, explore and grab pickups over the map, you'll become stronger eventually.

One of the big lessons to learn first is that ranged units and units without retaliation such as Royal Snakes are very useful for chipping away at enemy units before you go toe to toe with them or completely wipe them out before needing to go toe to toe.

The last thing you want to get into is a big slug-fest that wipes out a large portion of your army. That said, don't stack up too heavily on ranged units, or you'll be in a back situation against enemy units that can reach you quickly.

Usually I go for an army that has two ranged units, offensive melee units high-damage, preferably no retaliation , and defensive melee units high defense, HP, and preferably some damage resistance. Royal snakes are excellent offensive units that you can often find on the first island although you'll have to beat a decent sized force of snakes first.

For tactics, don't just rush your units into battle, generally wait for the enemy to come to you and reduce their numbers while they do this. This also separates out the enemy units by speed, so you can focus on and take out the faster units while the slower units are still trying to reach you.

Also try to use the terrain to bottleneck enemy melee units if you end up needing to go toe to toe, so you only have to deal with one at a time instead of all of them beating on you at once.
