Why is zoro blind

It is a focused attack that when his eye opens it is like a blade. The energy is so built up and focused when the eye is opened he unleashes a great force like a haki blade. Even without Conquerors Haki this could also be something like a combination of Armament and focusing your Observation.

Armament Haki could clearly be launched we learned that from the Kuja. And Conquerors Haki can clearly be focused on whoever you so choose. Only him being at his level also no longer being an active fighter he may not need to keep his eye closed.

As well as the strain haki can put on a body. Just to talk a little more about this attack or way to use haki or Conquerors Haki. Think of a caliber Phoenix but with a haki blade. After the time skip, he had one less of them. Fans can easily digest how Usopp became buffer and why Franky went overboard with the gadgets, but they just couldn't quite piece together Zoro's scar. Some ongoing theories range between hiding some ocular based power like the Sharingan to just being an accidental cut when Zoro unfortunately got an itchy eye during training.

Nothing has been set in stone, but it's still a little hard to believe how none of the Straw Hats asked about it yet, not even Luffy and his childlike curiosity.

No one said that they needed One Piece 's science to be realistic; but at minimum, it could at least be explained. In a world full of technological snails and floating cities, there has to be some consistent logic to really tie everything together. For a while, that was the case with Devil Fruits. They were magical fruits that, when eaten, could grant the user magical abilities. However, even that lore became muddied when the series proudly stated on multiple occasions that the World Government was having weapons eat Devil Fruits.

This isn't animals or people eating Devil Fruits that give them weapons. It's weapons somehow consuming Devil Fruits to gain consciousness as animals. A lot of Big Mom's past is shrouded in mystery. Where did she come from? Why is she as big as she is? Why is she always hungry? However, if there was one mystery around her that can really haunt fans, it's how she got her Devil Fruit.

However, after blacking out on her birthday in a hungry frenzy, Charlotte Linlin suddenly found herself alone and somehow with Mother Caramel's Devil Fruit. Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but the tease seems to be that, if one eats a Devil Fruit user , then they gain that person's Devil Fruit. This could clear up some mysteries surrounding Devil Fruits while sparking so many more nightmares.

Here is one of the few One Piece mysteries that has actually been answered. When Luffy goes off to train with Rayleigh, he leaves his hat on a mysterious tree on Rusukaina, one that Rayleigh simply remarks that the animals stay away from.

For those who only read the manga or watch the anime, not much is explained as to what's so special about the tree. However, its powers are actually explained in One Piece: Strong World , in which a similar tree, called "Daft Green," repels animals with poisonous spores. Oda has said that the Rusukaina tree isn't poisonous, but it is similar to the Daft Green.

In the wake of his th chapter, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has been chatty as of late. The artist has been reaching out to fans and creators alike in honor of his manga's big milestone. Of course, Oda is willing to share the love when called upon, and he did an interview with the creator of Rurouni Kenshin to celebrate the latter's recent art exhibition. It was there Oda opened up about his decision to blind Zoro in one eye back in the day, and it seems the mysterious injury was planned from the very beginning of One Piece!
